Laura spent her undergraduate years at Southern Utah University earning a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and an Associates degree in Science. Later, she continued her education at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. While there, she earned a graduate certificate in Child and Adolescent Psychology and continued forward working on a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
While completing her education, she worked for 14 years in the Operating Room as a supervisor in the Sterile Processing department. She learned many skills in this work including leadership, communication, and a strong work ethic. Throughout her life she has worked with many types of personalities and cultures and respects others beliefs, abilities, and potential.
Everyone goes through difficult times. A therapeutic relationship gives people an opportunity to explore their thoughts, feelings, and patterns of behavior. It can also help develop and learn new coping skills and techniques to better manage daily stressors and symptoms associated with mental health.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family. She loves music and baseball, and enjoys getting out and being active. Some of her favorite pastimes are biking, hiking, going to the beach in the summer, and snowboarding during the winter months. She loves the sunshine!
